Visual Artist Trish Taylor Thompson creates evocative, colourful and vibrant paintings inspired by the world of nature and the world of music.
The Sakura Series was inspired by Hanami, the centuries-old practice of picnicking under a blooming sakura (cherry blossom) tree in Japan, and Puccini’s opera Madame Butterfly, a tragic love story between Cio-Cio San and Pinkerton. This body of work explores the transience and impermanence of life and love.
